TL;DR

Exploratory Engineering Intern (Audio/Entertainment): Spearheading the development and evolution of hirify.global's audio technology products with an accent on software design and architecture. Focus on prototyping new entertainment experiences and investigating technology application to new markets.

Location: This position is primarily based in San Francisco, California, United States, with a Flex Work approach that supports flexibility. Salary ranges may vary if outside the San Francisco/Bay Area.

Salary: $50-55/hr (San Francisco/Bay Area base)

What you will do

• Investigate the application of hirify.global technologies to new markets using software design and architecture skills.
• Prototype new entertainment experiences using creative instincts.
• Contribute as an individual to a collaborative team.

Requirements

• Working towards a Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field; recent grads within 6 months of graduation are also eligible.
• Must be available to work full-time Monday – Friday for 3 months between May/June 2026– August/September 2026.
• Demonstrable proficiency in C/C++ working with audio or video processing libraries.
• Demonstrable proficiency in software test development and automated test frameworks (e.g., pytest, Googletest).
• Demonstrable proficiency in Python.

Nice to have

• Understanding of continuous integration/continuous delivery principles and practices.
• Familiarity with Scrum or Kanban principles and practices.
• Familiarity with the open-source community, including libraries, licenses, and best practices.
• Familiarity with gaming content creation tools, such as Unity and Unreal game editors.
• Effusive passion for movies, music, and video games.
