Location: Hybrid in Edinburgh, requiring at least two days per week in the office.

What you will do

• Apply advanced software testing techniques, including risk-based approaches, and communicate testing strategies to stakeholders.
• Build robust automation suites in JavaScript/TypeScript, solving complex framework issues and extending existing frameworks.
• Perform hands-on mobile testing and automation, leveraging Appium framework.
• Embed automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, inspect, compare, and roll back automation code changes.
• Design and execute complex non-functional tests and create, execute, and report API test cases.
• Perform exploratory testing and coach colleagues on best practices to ensure product fitness.

Requirements

• Proven experience in mobile and web automation testing using Playwright and Appium.
• Proven experience in API/Microservice test automation using Karate or RestAssured.
• Strong programming skills in Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like GitHub and Jenkins.
• Agile delivery experience and familiarity with Jira and Confluence.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with performance testing tools such as LoadRunner or JMeter.
• Experience with container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with public cloud platforms, specifically GCP.
• Experience with security testing tools such as Burp Suite or OWASP ZAP.
