Location: We have offices in Newquay and Bridport and offer hybrid working from either office. Fully remote with occasional travel to meet the team in the South West will also be considered. Everyone meets in-person four times a year for our team away days.

What you will do
- Design and build AI-powered workflows that automate repetitive tasks and scale operations.
- Integrate large language models and AI capabilities into existing systems and processes.
- Build and maintain APIs that enable seamless data flow between systems.
- Work with Platform Engineering teams to develop AI-powered features and tools for users.
- Support the creation of intelligent matching, recommendation, and scoring systems.
Requirements
- Data engineering fundamentals: Experience with SQL, data warehousing, ETL/ELT processes, and working with large datasets. Must have hands-on experience with Google BigQuery, Dataform, and Cloud Run.
- API development & integration: Hands-on experience building and consuming RESTful APIs, handling authentication, and managing integrations.
- LLM/AI experience: Practical experience working with large language models (OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar), prompt engineering, and AI-powered applications.
- Strong Python skills for data processing, automation, and building production systems.
- A passion for creating practical solutions, shipping code, and iterating based on feedback.
- Able to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate across teams.
Nice to have
- Experience with machine learning frameworks (scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Familiarity with modern data stack tools (dbt, Fivetran, Redash, etc.).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Previous experience in nonprofit, social impact, or mission-driven organisations.
