What you will do
- Develop fraud risk policies for innovative consumer lending products, focusing on new money movement products and features.
- Utilize advanced analytical techniques on massive scale account and transactional data to build and optimize fraud risk strategies.
- Lead the full cycle of risk strategy work, including identifying opportunities, developing and testing policies, launching to production, and monitoring performance.
- Build subject matter expertise in different types of risks among money movement offerings to balance mitigation and growth.
- Collaborate with data science, risk operations, product, data engineering, and analytics teams to drive customer segmentations and develop innovative risk strategies.
- Design, implement, and monitor testing to explore new methodologies and estimate key metrics for risk strategies.
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field or MS/PhD with 2+ years of experience.
- Strong business acumen and exceptional analytical ability, with preferred experience in Fintech and fraud risk in consumer lending.
- Proficient in statistical analysis tools like SQL, Excel, Python, R, and familiar with big data technologies (e.g., Hive, Hadoop).
- Demonstrated experience in designing experiments and using data-driven insights to solve business problems.
- Polished partnership and communication skills to interact cross-functionally and influence stakeholders.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and be responsive and decisive during periods of peak fraud activity.
