Solutions Architect (AWS)

TL;DR

Solutions Architect (AWS): Lead the architectural evolution of a high-load, multi-regional platform with an accent on technical direction, modernization, and business growth. Focus on designing and implementing architectures for high-load distributed systems, auditing services, and defining technical strategy in collaboration with other architects and the CTO.

Location: Hybrid work in Cyprus. Relocation package offered for candidates from other regions. Must not reside in or perform work from Russia, Belarus, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Crimea region, So-Called Donetsk People’s Republic, Luhansk People’s Republic, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions.

What you will do

• Participate in system design and architectural decision-making, balancing speed, quality, and resilience.
• Collaborate with the architecture team to develop a long-term roadmap for platform architecture evolution.
• Conduct audits of key services, identify technical debt, and propose a modernization strategy.
• Lead the architecture team and drive the development of architecture and related processes.
• Define the architectural vision and technical strategy in collaboration with the CTO and other architects.

Requirements

• Experience designing and implementing architectures for high-load distributed systems (230K RPS across 7 regions).
• Strong understanding of both server-side and client-side architecture and their constraints.
• Excellent knowledge of modern technologies, particularly AWS.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate certification is required.
• Strong leadership skills to shape technical vision and communicate complex architectural decisions.
• Ability to coordinate architectural collaboration across multiple teams.
