Salary: $150,000 - $210,000 CAD

What you will do

• Develop features for integrating hirify.global’s data stream processing engine with data systems such as Splunk, Elastic Search, Kafka, AWS S3, Azure Blob Storage, and Google Cloud Storage.
• Rapidly develop subject matter expertise in diverse 3rd party technologies by provisioning, building, and configuring necessary systems and accounts.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain clear, concise, and robust code.
• Develop expert knowledge of software development using Node.js and TypeScript (and sometimes C++), including working with Node internals.
• Ensure product features work as expected by creating robust test plans, comprehensive automated tests, and writing integration tests.
• Collaborate with other engineers, product managers, UX designers, and business teams to translate feature specifications into implementable code.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience integrating with third-party applications, libraries, and APIs.
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems.
• Experience with using and developing REST APIs.
• Experience interacting with and building on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, essential for a remote/distributed environment.
• Ability to contribute to a weekly 24/7 support on-call rotation.

Nice to have

• Experience with authorization and authentication standards such as Oauth2, OpenID Connect, LDAP, and SAML.
• Comfort with significant research and discovery before coding begins.
• Experience with Agile processes and rapid iterative development.
