Data Scientist (Machine Learning)

Location: Toronto, Canada (Flexible hybrid work model). Eligibility to work for hirify.global Corp. in Canada in a full-time capacity is required.

Salary: $90,000 - $120,000 (yearly)

What you will do

• Collaborate with fraud product owners and software developers to deploy scalable fraud solutions.
• Work with large complex data sets to solve difficult, non-routine analysis problems.
• Conduct end-to-end analysis including data gathering, processing, and presentations.
• Consult with business customers and fraud product owners to recommend strategy enhancements and deploy predictive analytics.
• Research, develop, deploy, and analyze testing strategies to continuously improve fraud-related deliverables.
• Prepare detailed documentation for knowledge transfer and to satisfy governance and regulatory concerns.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in the financial industry and data analytics.
• 2+ years of experience using machine learning.
• Expert knowledge of data mining, databases, SQL, and machine learning.
• Experience with Oracle, HDFS, Redshift, Spark (PySpark), and Python.
• Strong knowledge of the Canadian payment industry and payments transaction data/process flows.
• Eligibility to work for hirify.global Corp. in Canada in a full-time capacity.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Cloudera, Jupyter, Github, AWS.
