Principal UX Designer (Gamedev): Owning and delivering complete UX for new features and player experiences for a new F2P Open World Adventure title with World Class IP, collaborating with Game Designers, Product Managers, UI Artists, and Engineers. Focus on creating accessible and deep designs for a massive audience on mobile, PC, and beyond, and mentoring junior designers.

Location: Remote within the US or Canada, or in-person at our Culver City hub.

Salary: $169,600 - $253,000 USD (for candidates in CA, CO, NJ, NY, and WA)

What you will do

• Own and deliver complete UX for new features and player experiences, creating gameplay interactions and feature flows.
• Design from first principles, deeply understanding the game genre, analyzing competitive references, and collaborating with UX Research to uncover player needs and motivations.
• Identify weak points in designs and champion UX excellence through clear, consistent, and elegant design solutions.
• Collaborate across disciplines with Game Designers, Product Managers, UI Artists, and Engineers.
• Elevate the team, mentoring and supporting junior designers, and introducing processes, tools, and standards that scale with the team's growth.

Requirements

• 8+ years of UX experience, particularly in mobile and free-to-play gaming.
• Multiple shipped titles to showcase your craft, with clearly articulated contributions.
• Strong understanding of game development pipelines, technical constraints, and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
• Comfort navigating ambiguity, able to proactively define problems and propose solutions.
