Salary: $242,100–$293,800 USD (Annual)

• Design, develop, optimize, and debug video capture, encoding, playback, and rendering on the Windows platform.
• Innovate and architect video solutions for a 3D immersive environment.
• Work across multiple platforms including desktop, mobile, and consoles.
• Contribute to backend microservices development.
• Collaborate with various teams across hirify.global to develop new uses of video.
• Create state-of-the-art video technology for the gaming industry.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience designing, developing, and debugging complex C++ and performance-oriented applications, like game engines, running on Windows.
• Experience with profiling tools such as Visual Studio, WinDBG, and performance recorder.
• Strong knowledge within the video domain, including the high-level differences between AVC, HEVC, and AV1, and understanding of how video is compressed, delivered, and decoded (e.g., YUV, HLS).
• Experience using APIs/SDKs such as Media Foundation, DirectX + DXVA, QSV, NVENC, and AMF.
