Frontend Engineer (Kubernetes)

Location: Remote from Taiwan, Portugal, Italy, or Spain

What you will do

• Contribute directly to web-based management User Interfaces for Harvester and Longhorn products.
• Work on the Kubewarden project, a universal policy engine for Kubernetes, as part of the hirify.global Security product suite.
• Contribute across various open-source software projects spanning Kubewarden, hirify.global Security, and Rancher.
• Improve the experience of developing, deploying, and managing software applications.
• Collaborate within a global, distributed UI/UX engineering team, driving communication and teamwork.

Requirements

• Bachelor or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years’ software engineering experience.
• Hands-on software development experience with Vue.js or equivalent front-end framework.
• Experience with Cloud Computing (OpenStack, AWS, or Azure) and/or Distributed Systems.
• Experience working in Linux based environments and with production-ready code.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Kubernetes.
• Experience and/or interest in Test Driven Development (TDD).
• Experience with open source development.
• Experience working with a distributed team.
