Senior Android Developer (Android, Kotlin, Java): Contributing to the development and optimization of existing and future Mail and VPN applications for Android devices with an accent on interacting with backend REST APIs and coordinating with QA/Support for debugging. Focus on building new features and ensuring high quality and performance of mobile applications.

Location: Remote (Europe). Relocation to the Netherlands is possible.

What you will do

• Contribute to the development of existing and future Mail and VPN applications for Android devices.
• Interact with existing backend REST APIs, providing feedback based on mobile needs.
• Work with web, backend, and server teams to build new features.
• Coordinate with the QA/Support team to analyze and assist with debugging Android apps.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in software development, with at least 5 years of extensive Android development.
• Strong command of OOP, data structures, and algorithms.
• Fluent with Java, Kotlin, and Coroutines.
• Excellent knowledge of multithreading.
• Working knowledge of RESTful web APIs and complex systems.
• Experience with Git, automated testing, Continuous Integration, and Development.
• Must be allowed to work in Europe, or be eligible for Visa sponsorship within Europe.

Nice to have

• Well-versed in IT security, with a good understanding of security best practices for mobile app development.
• Leadership experience.
• Experience with highly-rated apps in the Google Play Store with a large number of downloads.
• Experience working with a large number of files and/or cloud storage technology.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and processes.
