TL;DR

Software Engineer II (AI): Architecting, building, and verifying solutions for an AI contracting platform with an accent on scalability, maintainability, and performance. Focus on designing and implementing features for a modern tech stack and contributing to a collaborative engineering environment.

Location: This is a hybrid role based out of the San Francisco headquarters, requiring office attendance at least twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays. US work authorization is implicitly required to be eligible for US employee benefits.

Salary: $150,000–$165,000 per year

What you will do

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and other engineers to spec, design, and build features and systems.
  • Partner with quality engineers to define, build, and maintain testing strategies.
  • Contribute to technical discussions, code reviews, and observability, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and performance.
  • Grow your teams by interviewing and recruiting talented engineers to hirify.global.
  • Work on a modern stack built upon TypeScript, React, Node.js, Java, Docker containers, and Kubernetes on Google Cloud Platform.

Requirements

  • At least 2+ years of software experience architecting, building, launching, and maintaining complex systems.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Passion for software engineering to build and ship great products.
  • Strong cross-team communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid capacity from the San Francisco office.

Nice to have

  • Any experience with AI tools like Claude Code or Cursor.
