Interpreter (English - Japanese)

Location: Hybrid work environment, requiring flexibility to work between 8 am to 7 pm depending on client needs.

What you will do

• Provide consecutive interpretation (Japanese and English, both ways) between Japanese clients and internal experts.
• Deliver interpretation through web meeting platforms (Microsoft Teams, Webex).
• Manage preparation and execution of multiple calls daily (5-6 on average).
• Work flexibly between 8 am to 7 pm to meet client needs.

Requirements

• Near-native or highly advanced English skills (Eiken first grade or TOEIC 900+)
• Near-native or highly advanced Japanese skills (JLPT 1+ and output exposure)
• Experience providing consecutive interpretation (no simultaneous interpretation experience is necessary).
• Excellent time management skills to handle preparation and execution of multiple calls per day.
• Willingness to do proactive, independent preparation without a formal preparation meeting.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of the IT industry/vocabulary.
• Experience working in a B-to-B environment.
