What you will do

• Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of Kubernetes-based infrastructure.
• Work extensively with AWS services, leveraging native tools and features, especially EKS.
• Utilize Istio for managing service meshes, traffic routing, and advanced observability features.
• Implement GitOps practices with ArgoCD for seamless CI/CD pipelines.
• Create modular, reusable application deployment templates using Helm.
• Serve as the technical authority for Kubernetes and Service Mesh within the organization.

Requirements

• Expertise in microservices and Service Mesh architectures at scale, specifically Istio on Kubernetes clusters.
• In-depth knowledge of AWS cloud infrastructure, including VPC, IAM, EC2, ELB, Route53, KMS, Cloudwatch, Cloudtrail, and running EKS workloads.
• Expert level knowledge of Linux systems.
• High-level experience with at least one programming/scripting language (Java, Python, or Bash) in an enterprise environment.
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure provisioning (Terraform), continuous deployment (ArgoCD), and extensive experience with Helm templating.
• Extensive knowledge of DevOps/GitOps best practices and security related to infrastructure and platform design.
• Proficiency in written professional English.

Nice to have

• Experience with multi-cluster architectures for Service Mesh, specifically Istio multi-primary deployments.
