What you will do

• Help lead the design and optimization of build systems, with a primary focus on Bazel.
• Design and implement agentic workflows and integrate LLM capabilities into our platform to automate complex development tasks.
• Build and maintain the paved road for service delivery on Kubernetes.
• Maintain and evolve core libraries and frameworks for backend services, ensuring a robust, standardized foundation for product teams working in Scala.
• Partner with service owners to help them adopt and take full advantage of our Internal Developer Platform.
• Engage with feature teams to understand their needs and help inform the product roadmap.

Requirements

• Deep production experience with Bazel.
• Deep understanding of the JVM ecosystem (Scala preferred, or Java/Kotlin) from a build and runtime perspective.
• Ability to write and maintain platform tooling in Python, Go, or TypeScript.
• Proven ability to work in a Kubernetes-native environment and expert in Docker containerization.
• Expert in managing deployments using ArgoCD and GitOps patterns.
• Power user of AI coding tools (e.g., Cursor , Claude Code) and have a vision for how they change software development.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with defining infrastructure and environments using tools like Terraform or Crossplane.
• Deep production experience with modern orchestration tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Argo Workflows, CircleCI, etc.).
• Experience or a strong drive to build agentic systems and automations on top of LLMs to solve developer productivity challenges.
