🦄 Description
Nekki is developing SPINE, a cinematic third-person beat’em’up built on Unreal Engine 5 and focused on stylish gun-fu combat. The project features a deep storyline, memorable characters, cinematic cutscenes, and intense firearm-based battles. This is an ambitious title and the company’s first release for both PC and consoles. We are looking for a Technical Animator to help build and fine-tune advanced animation systems and bring high-quality character motion into gameplay.
🚀 Responsibilities
• Work with animation tools in Unreal Engine 5, including Control Rig, Animation Blueprints, and Motion Matching
• Set up and configure Control Rig and AnimGraph nodes such as CCDIK, FABRIK, Two Bone IK, Orientation Warping, Stride Warping, and Foot Placement
• Integrate and tune animations inside an Unreal Engine game project
• Develop and configure animation systems and locomotion setups in UE5
• Work with Metahuman animation pipelines
• Collaborate with the team on improving animation quality and technical stability
📚 Required Skills
• Strong understanding of the animation pipeline
• Experience working with Unreal Engine and Maya
• Knowledge of UE animation systems and animation blueprints
• Proficiency in Python
• Ability to write clear technical documentation
• Fluent Russian communication skills
👍 Nice to Have
• At least 1 year of animation experience in any 3D package
• Experience working on a released project
• Familiarity with Cascadeur
• Additional experience with advanced character animation workflows
