What you will do

• Define and drive the modeling strategy for the advertising recommendations platform, spanning classical machine learning and generative AI.
• Architect end-to-end machine learning pipelines, overseeing design of data processing workflows, feature stores, model training, and deployment.
• Lead the incorporation of LLM-based components for intelligent narrative generation, including prompt frameworks and fine-tuning strategies.
• Oversee cross-team initiatives and collaboration, chairing technical design reviews and balancing priorities.
• Mentor and develop the applied science team, championing best practices in experimentation, coding, and MLOps.
• Ensure robust evaluation and governance of all AI/ML solutions, establishing metrics and monitoring performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Computer Science, or related field AND 6+ years related experience OR Master’s Degree AND 4+ years OR Doctorate AND 3+ years.
• 5+ years of experience developing and deploying machine learning solutions in production with end-to-end ownership.
• 3+ years of technical leadership experience in an applied or data science team setting.
• Extensive hands-on expertise in ML techniques for predictive analytics, pattern recognition, and optimization.
• Proficiency in programming (Python, etc.), machine learning frameworks (PyTorch, Tensorflow), and data infrastructure.
• Experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP) and LLMs for tasks like summarization and question-answering.

Nice to have

• Practical exposure to applying LLMs in domain-heavy contexts while adhering to privacy and Responsible AI expectations.
• Solid background in big data and cloud technologies (Azure or similar) for big data and MLOps.
• Proven track record of innovation and impact, including contributions to AI products or influential research.
• High proficiency in MLOps and AI governance, including automated training and continuous monitoring.
