What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and maintain modular and complex Java backend applications and extensions.
• Lead architecture, design, implementation, and debugging of distributed, high-performance Java applications.
• Leverage modern DevOps practices including CI/CD, containerization with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Work in agile teams responsible for full application lifecycle from design to production.
• Maintain system and design documentation and support UAT and production releases.
• Contribute to Java API practice by improving methodologies and tools.

Requirements

• Location: Based in or able to work in Germany
• Fluency in both English and German is required
• 5+ years of professional backend development experience in agile environments.
• Strong knowledge of Java 17+ and microservices architecture.
• Experience with Spring ecosystem (IOC, Spring Boot, Spring Data, Rest Services, Security, JMS).
• Familiarity with Maven, Jenkins, Sonar, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, and optionally Camunda.

Nice to have

• Initial experience with cloud technologies.
• Experience with workflow and process orchestration platforms like Camunda.
