What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain backend services and APIs using Python/FastAPI and microservices architecture
• Maintain and evolve core microservices, databases, and platform components
• Build and improve data ingestion and crawling pipelines
• Ensure platform scalability, reliability, and maintainability as complexity grows
• Contribute to infrastructure components, internal libraries, and engineering guidelines
• Debug production issues and support incident resolution

Requirements

• Must be a fiscal resident of Portugal
• 3+ years of backend software engineering experience with Python
• Experience with API frameworks such as Django DRF, Flask, or FastAPI
• Strong understanding of REST API design, software design patterns, and clean architecture
• Knowledge of system design and software architecture principles
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), containerized environments, and observability tools is a plus
