Junior Java Developer (Kazakhstan)

What you will do

• Implement functionality in Java/Spring Boot microservices under the guidance of a middle-level developer.
• Work with databases (PostgreSQL, Redis) for CRUD operations and optimized queries.
• Perform unit testing (JUnit 5) and participate in integration tests using TestContainers.
• Implement controllers, DTOs, and mappers, ensuring compliance with OpenAPI contracts.
• Write Dockerfiles, participate in image building, and perform local testing in containers.
• Add logs, basic metrics, and health checks using Spring Actuator.

Requirements

• Experience as a Java Developer for 6+ months.
• Basic proficiency in Java and experience with Spring Boot.
• Ability to write simple SQL queries, understanding of indexes; PostgreSQL preferred.
• Experience designing simple REST APIs and working with JSON.
• Git skills: branching, pull requests, conflict resolution.
• Understanding of unit testing and experience writing tests using JUnit 5.
• Ability to run CI pipelines.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum/Kanban methodologies.
• Experience working with Jira, Confluence, and Figma.
• English: B2 (Intermediate) and above.
