What you will do

• Develop backend services using Ruby on Rails including API design and implementation.
• Support and monitor customer-facing applications and assist with data migration and admin backend integrations.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and Agile ceremonies.
• Ensure code quality, performance, scalability, and resiliency.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, designers, data scientists, and engineers.
• Take ownership of end-to-end backend development and post-deployment support.

Requirements

• Must be located in Ukraine.
• 3+ years of backend development experience with Ruby on Rails.
• Experience building API-based applications and working with relational databases (MySQL preferred).
• Understanding of web stack technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSON, and HTTP.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• English proficiency at intermediate level or higher.

Nice to have

• Experience with GraphQL and cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
• Familiarity with RSpec or similar testing frameworks.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and CI/CD best practices.
• Experience working with frontend teams is a plus.
