What you will do

• Lead and deliver features end-to-end, with an emphasis on backend architecture and implementation.
• Own your slice of the stack, including frontend code when needed.
• Collaborate closely with product, design, and other engineers, contributing ideas and pragmatism.
• Help shape the codebase, architecture, and culture as the company scales.
• Own problems, not just tickets, working with autonomy.

Requirements

• Extensive backend experience (5+ years) with frameworks like Node or Rails.
• Solid understanding of system design and data modeling.
• Comfortable navigating frontend code (e.g., React or similar).
• Experience maintaining and improving large codebases.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
• Experience in a startup or scale-up environment, or a similar mindset.

Nice to have

• Experience with Ruby on Rails, TypeScript, NodeJS, React, PostgreSQL, AWS.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, observability, or dev tooling.
• An opinionated take on backend architecture, accessibility, or design systems.
