Location: Hybrid. Must be able to work partially remotely from Vilnius or Kaunas, Lithuania.

Salary: From €7,000 brutto (monthly).

What you will do

• Collaborate with the Head of Decision Science to translate business requirements into concrete technical architectures and engineering plans.
• Define the technical direction for ML systems, choosing appropriate patterns, tools, and frameworks to ensure scalability and maintainability.
• Actively contribute hands-on to the codebase, building production-ready ML models, pipelines, and complex features.
• Define and enforce high-quality coding standards and design patterns to minimize technical debt.
• Own the technical delivery timeline, identify engineering bottlenecks, and ensure the team ships robust solutions efficiently.

Requirements

• Proven track record of technical leadership, mentoring junior engineers, and conducting code reviews.
• At least 5 years of experience in Machine Learning, Software Engineering, Data Science, or related areas.
• Proficiency in Python programming language.
• Excellent understanding of fundamental machine learning concepts and techniques.
• Deep understanding of how to architect end-to-end ML systems.
• Experience in deploying, monitoring, and maintaining models in production on AWS or similar cloud platforms.

Nice to have

• Model development experience in the PyTorch ecosystem.
• Experience with boosted tree model frameworks like XGBoost and LightGBM.
• NLP or Computer Vision experience.
• Experience with AWS cloud platform products (such as ECS, Lambdas).
• Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform).
• Experience with MLOps using GitHub Actions, Airflow, and MLFlow.
