Salary: €66K–€120K plus equity and €9K–€36K bonus

What you will do

• Design and implement robust backend systems and APIs powering the AI platform
• Build full-stack features spanning backend (Node.js), database, and frontend integration
• Optimize database schemas, queries, and data models for performance and scalability
• Implement API endpoints and integrate with third-party AI services
• Collaborate on technical architecture and system design decisions
• Participate in support engineer rotations to assist customers and support team

Requirements

• On-site work in Berlin, Germany
• 2–3+ years of software engineering experience building production applications
• Strong backend skills with Node.js, API design, and system architecture
• Experience with PostgreSQL including data modeling and query optimization
• Familiarity with frontend technologies: JavaScript/TypeScript, React/Next.js
• Fluent English communication skills

Nice to have

• Experience with Language Models and AI/ML integrations (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google)
• Enterprise software development with security and compliance focus
• Experience with Redis, vector databases, and semantic search
• German language skills for direct customer communication
• Strong sense of user experience and design systems
