TL;DR
Senior Software Engineer (Data-Focused, Go/TypeScript): Designing, building, and scaling backend services that deeply integrate with large-scale data pipelines for the Cloud Intelligence product with an accent on distributed system design, API development, and multi-cloud environments. Focus on optimizing cloud billing data, ensuring system reliability, and contributing to core platform engineering across AWS and GCP.
Location: Remote (EMEA), as a full-time employee in the UK, Ireland, Estonia, Israel, Netherlands, Sweden, or as a contractor in Eastern Europe and Portugal.

What you will do
- Design, build, and scale backend services in Go and TypeScript integrated with large-scale data pipelines.
- Collaborate with billing data teams on analysis, optimization, and delivery of accurate cloud billing data.
- Improve data pipelines and integrate them into product-facing services.
- Contribute to platform code and infrastructure supporting billing calculations and cloud analytics.
- Implement monitoring, observability, and reliability practices for services and data systems.
- Drive best practices in backend architecture, data processing, and system design in multi-cloud (AWS/GCP).
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a backend engineer with large-scale data systems.
- Strong programming skills in Go and/or TypeScript.
- Proven experience designing and maintaining scalable APIs and services.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with analytical databases (e.g., BigQuery, ClickHouse).
- Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS and GCP preferred).
- Excellent English communication skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with Python.
- Knowledge of AWS billing and cost optimization.
- Experience with performance tuning and cost optimization for large-scale data systems.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes and modern DevOps practices.
