Director AI Coding Evangelist

Director AI Coding Evangelist (AI Engineering): Lead the transition of R&D to AI-driven development and SDLC, focusing on adoption of AI coding tools and AI-based agents to optimize development velocity. Focus on upskilling engineers, prototyping AI agents, and driving cross-functional adoption of AI standards in a global R&D organization.

Location: Hybrid in Raanana, Israel (2 days onsite, 3 days remote)

What you will do

• Lead workshops and pair-programming sessions to upskill engineers in AI coding tools adoption.
• Prototype and demo AI agents illustrating best practices for teams.
• Suggest tools and processes to improve developer experience and productivity.
• Collaborate with AI Champions to build organizational knowledge and distribute it.
• Build and track backlog of AI tools and practices adoption across R&D teams.

Requirements

• Location: Must be able to work hybrid in Raanana, Israel
• 10+ years software engineering experience, 3+ years hands-on with AI coding tools.
• Experience with leading AI coding tools (GitHub Copilot, ClaudeCode, Cursor, etc.) and AWS platform.
• Experience developing and using AI agents and protocols (MCP, A2A).
• Strong communication skills and ability to work autonomously across time zones.
• Leadership experience equivalent to Director/VP in enterprise software companies.
