What you will do
- Initiate and contribute to continuous improvement of software delivery processes and practices.
- Use automation extensively to design, configure, manage, and monitor systems.
- Design and architect operational solutions to increase standardization, automation, and cost-efficiency.
- Collaborate with developers and other SREs to design and build scalable, reliable, and cost-efficient Cloud infrastructure.
- Adhere to and advocate for best practices including Infrastructure as Code, monitoring, high availability, disaster recovery, security, and DevOps methodologies.
- Provide timely assistance and remediation solutions during critical situations and production incidents (on-call).
Requirements
- English: C1+ required (flawless expression)
- Strong knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) and strong experience with Docker, Kubernetes & Linux Systems.
- Experience with configuration management tools such as Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Salt, and Infrastructure as Code practices (Terraform).
- Ability to read & write complex scripts using Shell, and understand programming languages such as Python, Ruby, and Go.
- Good understanding of Agile development, continuous delivery best practices, and software engineering tools/processes.
- Good experience provisioning and managing infrastructures with high availability constraints and cloud cost optimization.
