Design Implementation Engineer

TL;DR

Design Implementation Engineer (Embedded_IoT_Dev): Work on design implementation activities including place and route, timing closure, floor-planning, partitioning, clock tree synthesis, and physical verification with an accent on achieving desired PPA metrics and timing closure. Focus on driving tools and methodologies, completing equivalence checks, STA, timing closure, power optimization, and implementing timing and functional ECOs.

Salary: $141,300 - $226,000 per year

What you will do

• Perform design implementation activities related to place and route and/or timing closure including floor-planning, partitioning, placement, clock tree synthesis, routing, timing analysis, and physical verification.
• Drive tools and methodologies to achieve desired power, performance, and area (PPA) metrics.
• Complete equivalence checks, static timing analysis (STA), timing closure, and power optimization.
• Implement timing and functional engineering change orders (ECOs).
• Apply proven design methodology and milestone flow to meet rigorous silicon criteria.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in the USA
• Primary expertise in place and route and/or timing constraints and STA.
• Experience at block and SoC level design implementation.
• Hands-on experience with timing analysis and place and route tools for ASIC/SoC design.
• BS in Electrical Engineering/Computer Engineering with 12+ years experience or MS with 10+ years experience.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently in a global team.

Nice to have

• Experience with formal verification, timing analysis, and ECO implementation.
• Experience with tools such as Primetime, ICC2, Innovus, Caliber, LEC, PrimeTime.
• Full chip tapeout experience based on 7nm and lower technologies.
