Location: Hybrid in San Francisco, CA with on-site presence required 3 days per week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday)

Salary: $208,000–$281,000

What you will do

• Lead architecture and development of security tools and infrastructure end-to-end.
• Collaborate with product security and software engineers to implement security features in AWS cloud.
• Drive alignment across engineering teams on security and privacy initiatives.
• Support security detection, response, and investigations.
• Research and advocate for new security tools and detection mechanisms.
• Mentor security engineers and provide technical guidance and career development support.

Requirements

• Location: Must be able to work hybrid with on-site presence in San Francisco 3 days per week
• 6+ years experience in security engineering or related roles.
• Deep expertise in AWS cloud infrastructure and security services.
• Strong software engineering skills and architectural guidance experience.
• Proven leadership and mentorship capabilities.
• Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.

Nice to have

• Experience as a technical leader on a security team.
• Track record of defining team processes and best practices.
• Public presence via talks, blogs, or open-source contributions.
• Experience with RFC writing and technical design documentation.
• Participation in hiring and interview process design.
