What you will do

  • Design and develop software features and services as part of a self-organized engineering team.
  • Build features aligned with product and engineering leads to achieve customer outcomes.
  • Work with private and public cloud technologies at scale, primarily LBG Private Cloud and GCP.
  • Apply modern engineering concepts including microservices, RESTful APIs, Kubernetes, Kafka, and CI/CD.
  • Collaborate across engineering functions to maximize inner-sourcing and reduce waste.
  • Advocate for quality through practices like pair programming, TDD, and BDD.

Requirements

  • Location: Hybrid work with at least two days per week in Edinburgh office
  • Experience with Java Spring Boot or similar API development technologies.
  • Knowledge of React, Java EE, SQL, Python is advantageous.
  • Understanding of distributed system architectures and cloud-native applications.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to write efficient, scalable software.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills across engineering teams.
