Senior Linux Engineer (Cloud & Infrastructure)

Location: Hybrid in the Netherlands. Candidates must already be living in the Netherlands.

What you will do

• Strengthen the Linux/Unix team in executing projects and operational activities.
• Continuously improve infrastructure through automation and new technologies.
• Support in building and expanding new systems and platforms.
• Enhance existing infrastructure and ensure infra delivery to internal customers.
• Carry out life cycle management of systems and software.
• Manage projects from start to finish, ensuring knowledge sharing and maintainable solutions.

Requirements

• Experience: 5-7 years of practical experience as a Linux administrator/engineer.
• Language Skills: Proficient in English is required.
• In-depth knowledge of Linux (Debian, Red Hat, and/or derivatives).
• Good knowledge of shell scripting (e.g., Bash, PHP, Ruby, Python, GoLang).
• Hands-on experience with Puppet, CI/CD, CMDB, and Git.
• Familiarity with services such as Apache, Tomcat, MySQL, RabbitMQ, Redis, and Elastic Stack.
• Understanding of security protocols (Kerberos, LDAP, Radius).
• Good working knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
• General understanding of networking (firewalls, load balancers, routing).

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud products (e.g., Azure, AWS).
• Experience with SAN storage platforms/configurations.
• Dutch language skills.
