What you will do
- Create high-quality, photorealistic in-game characters and related content.
- Sculpt high-poly facial and body models, build mid-poly character geometry, and design/simulate clothing and hair.
- Create, refine, and optimize high-quality character textures, adapting assets to approved shader workflows.
- Create and implement blendshapes and develop character-related props.
- Provide technical support and expertise, ensuring asset compatibility and integration in Unreal Engine.
- Participate in cross-functional discussions and perform technical quality control, including testing, debugging, and implementing feedback.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience as a Character Artist in game development.
- Deep understanding of Unreal Engine 5 rendering pipelines and workflows.
- Portfolio demonstrating high-quality real-time character work, especially human characters.
- Excellent knowledge of human anatomy and strong sculpting skills.
- Proficient in modeling, retopology, high-level texturing skills, and realistic hair simulation (haircards, textures).
- Proficiency with Maya, ZBrush, Marvelous Designer, Faceform (Wrap3D), Substance Painter, XGen, and GS Curve Tool.
