Senior Engineer, Site Reliability Engineering

What you will do

• Maintain Service Level Objectives for the systems you own, constantly measuring and improving availability, latency, and overall system health.
• Write automation to scale systems sustainably, prevent service issues, and quickly recover service when they occur.
• Partner with development teams to improve system reliability, observability, and release velocity.
• Participate in on-call rotations, incident response, postmortems, and root cause analysis and resolution.
• Advocate for strong engineering practices that allow the team to build, deploy, and run scalable, reliable, and performant services.
• Enable Cloud migration by working with foundation and migration teams from inception, performing architectural reviews, and configuring Datadog dashboards and metrics.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, a related technical field involving software/systems engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Shell or Python.
• Experience in maintaining Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Hands-on experience with one of the following cloud platforms: Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with observability tools like Datadog or Dynatrace.
• Proficient in implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with incident response and running blameless post-mortems.
• Proficient in Git workflows.

Nice to have

• Minimum 8-10 years in the industry.
• Experience with DevOps concepts and ways of working.
• Experience with algorithms and data structures.
• Understanding of identity and access management, and application security.
• Experience with native Azure relational databases.
