Data Science Intern

TL;DR

Data Science Intern (AI/Data Science): Develop and deploy predictive models and data-driven solutions with an accent on natural language processing and generative AI frameworks. Focus on designing and testing AI agents, LLM performance benchmarking, and working with large datasets to extract actionable business insights.

What you will do

• Develop and deploy predictive models to drive business outcomes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data-driven solutions
• Work with large datasets to extract insights and inform business decisions
• Preprocess and parse data to prepare for large language models (LLM)
• Rapidly test new generative AI frameworks such as AI agents, RAG, NL2SQL
• Support evaluation and benchmarking of LLM performance across tasks and metrics

Requirements

• Location: Must be in-office 3-5 days a week in Austin, Texas, US
• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related quantitative fields
• Experience with Python, SQL, or JavaScript programming languages
• Knowledge of machine learning algorithms, statistical modeling, and large language models (LLMs)
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and work through ambiguous business requirements
• Commitment to a minimum 12-week summer internship

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform or similar cloud services
• Experience with container-based deployments such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, and React
