Test Automation Engineer

TL;DR

Test Automation Engineer: Building and optimizing test automation frameworks for a SaaS Sales Planning software with an accent on functional and non-functional test automation. Focus on driving test automation enhancements, expanding test coverage, and supporting CI/CD initiatives within a modern React/GraphQL/AWS stack.

Location: Fully remote, with working hours aligned to Eastern Standard Time (EST). While open to candidates from outside EST, preparedness to adjust working hours is essential.

What you will do

• Lead technical test automation efforts and coach non-technical team members.
• Drive functional and non-functional test automation across various projects/programs.
• Manage project test activities and align with internal Quality Engineering practices.
• Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback for high-quality, testable code.
• Provide support for Roadmap items and Deployment Test Automation efforts.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years experience in Python/Javascript programming.
• Experience working with multiple test automation tools and frameworks such as Cucumber, Pytest, Playwright, or Locust.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD environments, containerization, test infrastructure, and platforms.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• English: B2 level or higher required.

Nice to have

• Intermediate SQL skills, including complex SQL queries on large datasets.
• Performance load testing experience, including analysis and interpretation skills.
• Experience with cloud-based and local databases (e.g., AWS RDS, Oracle, Postgres).
