What you will do

• Lead development and architecture of the Patch Backporter library.
• Design and implement major improvements in patch backporting automation workflows.
• Own benchmarking and evaluation infrastructure, automating stable and comparable performance metrics.
• Integrate solutions into existing CI/CD and automation stacks for production use.
• Build Python tools and services to accelerate team iteration and improve engineering processes.
• Collaborate cross-functionally and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• Remote work: fully remote with flexible hours, work from any location worldwide.
• English: strong written communication skills required.
• BSc or MSc in Computer Science or related field with 5+ years software engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs and AI integration in real projects.
• Strong Python skills including asyncio, multithreading, multiprocessing, and testing frameworks.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, CI/CD tooling, Docker, and Linux CLI.

Nice to have

• Published research or documented experimentation experience.
• Data analysis skills and designing meaningful system performance metrics.
• Basic knowledge of C language for reading patches and diffs.
• Experience with AI engineering tools like Cursor, WindSurf, aider, Claude Code.
