What you will do

• Lead and facilitate Data Stewardship Councils to promote collaboration and accountability for data quality.
• Manage and mentor Data Governance Analysts and Administrators to deliver governance objectives.
• Develop and implement data governance frameworks, policies, and standards aligned with organizational goals.
• Partner with business and IT teams to resolve data quality issues and ensure data integrity.
• Collaborate with Master Data Operations to align governance policies with operational processes.
• Monitor compliance with data governance policies and provide training to data stewards and business users.

Requirements

• Location: Must be able to work hybrid in Tres Ríos, Cartago, Costa Rica
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Business, Computer Science, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in IT with focus on data governance or data management.
• Strong understanding of data governance principles, data quality management, and master data concepts.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive consensus.

Nice to have

• Experience with SAP, Signavio, and Master Data Governance (MDG).
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements such as GDPR, CCPA, and GTC.
