Salary: $5,500–$9,500 per month

What you will do

• Design, develop, and test embedded software for vehicle body, thermal, lighting, and door functions.
• Develop embedded software for ECU software platform bring-up and control units.
• Implement real-time C++ software systems managing autonomous vehicle ride states and passenger interactions.
• Analyze system performance metrics and telemetry data to optimize software efficiency.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with vehicle engineers, software teams, product management, and quality assurance.

Requirements

• Must be currently enrolled in a relevant engineering degree program and returning to school after internship
• Ability to relocate to the Bay Area, California for the 12-week internship
• Good academic standing and at least one previous relevant internship or project experience.
• Strong embedded C/C++ programming skills and experience with Linux systems.
• Knowledge of embedded microcontrollers, real-time operating systems, and modern software development practices.

Nice to have

• Experience with autonomous vehicles industry.
• Familiarity with automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet, Wifi, NFC, UWB, LTE, 5G).
• Experience with lab and data acquisition equipment.
