TL;DR

Sr. IT Instructional Designer (Education): Designing and developing medium to high complexity technical and professional learning experiences including instructor-led training, eLearning, and video content with an accent on adult learning theory and project management. Focus on creating effective learning solutions in partnership with business leaders and supporting virtual and onsite delivery.

What you will do

  • Partner with program owners and business leaders to select learning modalities and design learning solutions that drive capability development and business outcomes.
  • Develop medium to high complexity learning experiences such as instructor-led training, eLearning, performance support, and video content.
  • Provide consultation on best practices for creating learning experiences and leveraging standards and templates.
  • Manage multiple projects with solid project management skills.
  • Collaborate with virtual teams and support onsite work as necessary.

Requirements

  • 6-8 years of experience in instructional design and related fields.
  • Advanced proficiency with eLearning and video development software (e.g., Captivate, Camtasia, Articulate 360).
  • Advanced skills in graphic design, animation, and audio recording tools (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, Audacity).
  • Experience applying adult learning theory and methodologies to design training.
  • Strong project management and communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree.
  • Certifications such as CPTD, APTD, or ATD Master Instructional Designer.
  • Experience working on virtual teams.
