What you will do

• Define the unique game world setting including era, location, and cultural details.
• Develop rich characters with personality, backstory, and motivations.
• Create overarching narrative arcs that build intrigue and support gameplay.
• Collaborate closely with design and art teams to ensure narrative cohesion.
• Iterate narrative content based on internal feedback from pitch to final delivery.
• Improve documentation and collaboration processes for story implementation.

Requirements

• Must be fully remote and based in or near San Francisco, USA.
• Proven experience in narrative design or writing for mobile or casual games.
• Strong understanding of story structure, pacing, and dialogue in interactive formats.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines (Art, Design, UX).

Nice to have

• Familiarity with female-dominant mobile game audiences.
• Background in crime fiction, mystery, or procedural storytelling.
