What you will do
- Design, implement, and optimize core information retrieval algorithms, fast indexing, and matching.
- Investigate complex real-world issues at Internet scale.
- Implement hardware-specific optimizations such as SIMD, SSD, GPU, CUDA.
- Collaborate with Core, Cloud, and Support teams.
- Lead designs, mentor peers, set benchmarks, and build internal and community reputation.
Requirements
- Location: Israel with hybrid work format.
- 7+ years experience building databases, search engines, or high-performance distributed/storage systems.
- Experience with vector/IR search and systems, proficiency in C/C++ or Rust including concurrency and performance optimizations.
- Strategic thinking and ability to influence architectural decisions.
- Bachelorβs or Masterβs degree in Computer Science or related field.
Nice to have
- Experience with NoSQL databases, especially .
