TL;DR

Lead Security & Safety Engineer (AI): Driving the development, technology, and growth of security, safety, and moderation systems, while prioritizing development agility. Focus on balancing the ideal security environment with the most agile development environment and enhancing API endpoints for security.

Location: Seated in either our SF Bay Area office (San Mateo) or Los Angeles based HQ.

Salary: $150K - $200K USD depending on location.

What you will do

• Develop and implement security measures to protect company's information assets.
• Lead moderation toolset choice and implementation.
• Enhance API endpoints and other access points to ensure the right handling of security.
• Monitor internal and external systems for security threats and respond to alerts.
• Harden infrastructure using best practices in AWS, GCP, GSuite, and Github.
• Contribute to the overall planning, development, and execution of system architecture.

Requirements

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 7+ years of professional experience.
• Experience in planning and developing security systems at a startup stage company.
• Experience with 3rd party security toolsets and security compliance.
• Experience with hardening of systems written in Python, GoLang, etc.
• Experience with Amazon Web Services or Google Cloud Platform.

Nice to have

• Anti-evil, Moderation, Safety experience.
• Knowledge of security landscape changes given AI advancements.
• Experience in developing, designing and working with APIs, distributed databases and caching systems.
