Staff Java Developer (Backend)

TL;DR

Staff Java Developer (Backend): Implementing and supporting highly available backend infrastructure and services with an accent on designing secure, distributed, scalable, and fault-tolerant systems. Focus on converting high-level functional requirements into actionable low-level design and implementation tasks.

Location: This role requires on-site presence at our office 4 days a week to support effective collaboration and teamwork.

What you will do

• Participate in the implementation and support of highly available backend infrastructure and services.
• Collaborate with architects, product owners, and business stakeholders to convert high-level functional requirements into actionable low-level design and implementation tasks.
• Support the product throughout the entire release cycle.
• Improve development processes and the effectiveness of teamwork within an Agile team.

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 7+ years of back-end development experience.
• Good Java programming skills.
• Experience with Java technologies and frameworks (e.g. Spring, Spring Boot, Jetty, etc.).
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL.
• English: from Pre-intermediate and above.
• Understanding of Agile processes and tools.

Nice to have

• Experience in designing and implementing complex high volume highly available globally distributed applications.
• Hands-on experience with messaging systems (Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Proficiency in Linux operating systems (CLI, shell scripting).
• Experience with public cloud (AWS, GCP).
