Backend Engineer (Elixir)

Location: Must be located in Berlin or open to relocate to Berlin.

What you will do

• Develop, maintain, and operate HTTP APIs and web applications, primarily built with Elixir.
• Manage, extend, and improve infrastructure using Kubernetes and AWS.
• Collaborate with tech teams across hirify.global to use existing services and develop new features.
• Ensure the stability and resilience of services.
• Participate in an on-call rotation after onboarding.

Requirements

• Several years of experience as a backend engineer.
• Proficiency in Elixir, with enthusiasm to work with it.
• Familiarity with complex systems and large codebases.
• Open to relocate to Berlin.

Nice to have

• Experience with Postgres, Redis, DynamoDB, Apache Kafka, and ElasticSearch.
• Hands-on experience using Kubernetes, Helm, or Terraform.
• Familiarity with AWS Services.
• Experience with Erlang or Ruby.
