Consulting Solutions Engineer

TL;DR

Consulting Solutions Engineer: Contributing to build and manage the relationship with technical peers in key strategic customer accounts. Focus on proactively driving the technical relationship and strategy into customer accounts whilst also driving technical initiatives.

Location: This role requires the successful candidate to be based in London, with daily attendance at both the office and customer sites as needed

What you will do

• Build and manage relationships with technical peers in strategic customer accounts.
• Drive technical initiatives and oversee pre-sales activity.
• Develop technical account plans that set out strategic initiatives to deliver customer outcomes and drive sales pipeline.
• Ensure customer literature and proposals are fine-tuned.
• Coach, mentor, and develop junior peers within the hirify.global UK organization.

Requirements

• Excellent communication skills, presenting to small round-table events or larger audiences.
• Strong understanding of modern technologies, including infrastructure data storage, virtualization, cloud, cloud-native, FinOps, DevOps, AI, data protection & recovery.
• Ability to build strong financial and commercial arguments for TCO and procurement methods.
• Experience with target account selling, solution selling, and/or consultative sales techniques.
• Ability to build firm business relationships with customers from technical buyer through to C-Level executives.
• Ability to travel to customer & partner sites for face-to-face engagement(s) around the UK and infrequent international travel.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in field pre-sales, technical consulting, professional services role.
• Expertise & qualification in data storage and data management solutions, including backup and recovery, disaster recovery, cloud storage, and data analytics.
• Prior Industry experience working for or with global data-storage vendor labels or service providers.
