Director, People Relations: Strengthens
's culture by building and maintaining a comprehensive employee relations landscape, implementing scalable solutions for employees and managers in multiple U.S. and international locations. Focus on workplace situations to achieve consistent, equitable, and effective outcomes by serving as thought partner with People and Legal Teams.Location: Ideally located in Austin, TX or Denver, CO but can be remote.
Salary: $160,000 - $220,000

What you will do
- Reimagine current philosophy and approach to employee relations and build employee relations operating model, systems, and processes to align to new future state.
- Serve as the primary investigator for complex employee relations matters and as a point of contact for policy interpretations.
- Implement and develop a global investigation process and playbook and provide investigatory support for employment litigation.
- Partner with leadership on the development and revision of policies, including managing annual handbook/policy revisions.
- Support and mentor team with regard to investigations, employee conflicts, performance management processes, and other employee-related matters.
- Proactively identify and monitor risks within employee relations investigations and provide guidance on risk mitigation solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
- 15+ years of experience in employee relations gained, ideally, at a fast-paced technology company.
- Proven success building and scaling an employee relations function.
- Subject matter expert on all things employee relations with expertise in conflict resolution, complex investigations, and performance management.
- Proven ability to attract, develop, and mentor talent.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to both influence and actively listen.
Nice to have
- JD degree with experience in employment law/litigation is a plus.
