About the Role
We’re seeking a proactive IT System Administrator to own our IT environment, focusing on securing and managing macOS devices for our distributed team. You’ll deploy and automate MDM solutions (Kandji/SimpleMDM), enforce policies, and serve as the go-to expert for endpoint security and integrations. This is a high-impact role perfect for someone who excels in small teams and can drive IT operations independently.
Key Responsibilities
Deploy and manage MDM solutions (Kandji/SimpleMDM) for remote macOS devices.
Implement zero-touch deployment via Apple Business Manager.
Develop scripts (Bash/Python) to automate security policies and workflows.
Integrate MDM with identity providers (Okta/Google Workspace) for SSO and conditional access.
Provide Tier 2/3 support for macOS users and troubleshoot complex issues.
Monitor device compliance and trigger alerts for security risks.
Manage onboarding/offboarding processes and IT documentation.
Oversee SaaS licenses, VPN/network tools, and corporate resource access.
Who You Are
Experienced in managing macOS environments with Kandji, SimpleMDM, or similar MDMs.
Skilled in Apple Business Manager, zero-touch provisioning, and automated enrollment.
Proficient in scripting (Bash/Python) for automation and compliance.
Familiar with Okta/Google Workspace integrations and endpoint security best practices.
A strong troubleshooter with excellent communication skills.
Trustworthy, detail-oriented, and security-minded.
