Intermediate Backend Engineer (Golang)

Overview

The Platform Insights team will deliver a unified data event platform that allows users to query, visualize, and analyze their data in order to optimize their workflows within hirify.global. We aim to create a consistent dashboard experience that makes it easy for users to ask the questions pertinent to their use cases and build rich team/use case specific views. We are looking for a Backend Engineer with a strong background in high-scale and data-rich Golang applications.

What you will do

• Develop Golang Backend components leveraging high-scale data pipelines
• Collaborate with Product Management and UX to maintain a high bar for quality
• Craft code that meets standards for style, maintainability, and best practices for a high-scale web environment
• Work with other hirify.global teams to integrate monitoring and insights features
• Develop features and improvements to the hirify.global product in a secure, well-tested, and performant way
• Advocate for improvements to product quality, security, and performance

Requirements

• Professional experience with Golang and PostgreSQL
• Strong database experience and interest in developing expertise in ClickHouse databases
• Experience working with a platform or complex applications
• Familiarity building and deploying software with CI/CD or other internal tooling
• Familiarity with distributed, scalable and reliable systems
• Proficiency in the English language, both written and verbal, sufficient for success in a remote and largely asynchronous work environment

Nice to have

• A user of modern DevOps platforms (hirify.global is a bonus)
• Monitoring system health with tools like Prometheus or Grafana
• Analyzing metrics, developing automation scripts, scaling systems
• Background or strong interest in learning Golang
• Some GCP and/or AWS experience
