Staff Machine Learning Engineer

Smartly is the AI-powered advertising technology company transforming ad experiences for brands and their consumers.

Overview

You will join the AI Product Lab Team at Smartly and work on helping marketers make the most of their ad creatives and campaigns. You'll build and experiment with AI-based solutions across the media and creative workflows, taking ownership of and working on high impact projects, building ML-based solutions to help Smartly's customers build better and more effective advertising experiences.

What you will do

• Build ML-based software systems that enable Smartly's users to craft great advertising experiences and campaigns.
• Drive the longer term technical architecture evolution of your domain.
• Coach, mentor and train Smartly's ML Engineering talent.
• Contribute to and strengthen Smartly’s MLOps + data platform.
• Work with stakeholders to translate business/product needs to viable solutions.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience developing and deploying production-quality software
• 5+ years of experience delivering software services powered by machine learning
• 4+ years of experience working with cloud infrastructure such as AWS or GCP
• Fluent in Python; experience with C++ or Java is a plus
• Ability and willingness to work in a hybrid capacity from our office 3 days a week
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
