Focus on optimizing Kubernetes for GPU workloads, setting up physical infrastructure, and ensuring resilient systems for high-performance creative workflows.

Location: Candidates MUST be located in British Columbia, Canada. This is a remote (work from home) position with the option of working within our studio, and requires working on Pacific Standard Time with a reliable internet connection.

Salary: $50–$65 hourly

What you will do

• Build and manage virtualization and cloud orchestration platforms including OpenNebula and Kubernetes.
• Deploy and manage containerized workloads across on-prem Kubernetes clusters.
• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for on-prem environments.
• Automate provisioning and configuration using Ansible, Terraform, and Packer.
• Optimize Kubernetes for GPU workloads and high-performance rendering tasks.
• Administer and support Linux and Windows environments across studio infrastructure.

Requirements

• Candidates MUST be located in British Columbia, Canada.
• 3+ years of experience in DevOps or infrastructure engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, including cluster setup, configuration, management, and optimization.
• Strong proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible, Packer).
• Strong proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash).
• Experience with physical infrastructure setup, software-defined networking, and CI/CD principles.

Nice to have

• Experience with GPU orchestration and AI/ML pipelines.
• Familiarity with creative tools (Deadline, Nuke, Houdini, Maya).
• Background in VFX, gaming, architecture, or scientific computing.
